Informations : The Indian Air Force (IAF) is inviting online applications for the recruitment of Agniveervayu (Sports) under the Agnipath Scheme for intake 01/2025. Eligible unmarried Indian male candidates can apply online through the CASB Home portal at agnipathvayu.cdac.in from 20th August 2024 to 29th August 2024.

IAF Agniveervayu Sports Eligibility Criteria 2024
For Science Subjects:
- Educational Qualification:
- Candidates must have passed Intermediate/10+2 or an equivalent examination with Mathematics, Physics, and English, securing at least 50% marks in aggregate and 50% marks in English.
- OR, candidates who have completed a three-year Diploma in Engineering (Mechanical/Electrical/Electronics/Automobile/Computer Science/Instrumentation Technology/Information Technology) must have 50% marks in aggregate and 50% marks in English in their diploma course (or in Intermediate/Matriculation, if English was not a subject in the Diploma Course).
- OR, candidates who have completed a two-year Vocational course with non-vocational subjects like Physics and Mathematics must have a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate and 50% marks in English in the vocational course (or in Intermediate/Matriculation, if English was not a subject in the vocational course).
For Other than Science Subjects:
- Educational Qualification:
- Candidates must have passed Intermediate/10+2 or an equivalent examination in any stream/subjects approved by Education Boards recognized by Central, State, or UT authorities, with at least 50% marks in aggregate and 50% marks in English.
- OR, candidates who have completed a two-year Vocational course must have a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate and 50% marks in English in the vocational course (or in Intermediate/Matriculation, if English was not a subject in the Vocational Course).
Additional Notes:
- Candidates eligible for the Science Subjects examination (including those with Intermediate/10+2/three-year diploma courses in engineering or two-year vocational courses with non-vocational subjects of Physics and Mathematics) are also eligible for the Other than Science Subjects examination.
- Only Education Boards recognized by Central, State, and UT authorities as of the date of registration will be considered.
- The exact aggregate percentage of marks before decimal points, as indicated on the mark sheet of 10+2/Intermediate/Equivalent Examination/Three-year Diploma Course/Two-year Vocational Course, will be considered. For example, 49.99% will be treated as 49% and will not be rounded off to 50%.

Air Force Agniveervayu Sports Physical Fitness Test
The selection trials for Agniveervayu Sports will be conducted in the following phases:
(a) Physical Fitness Test (PFT): The PFT includes a 1.6 km run, which must be completed within 7 minutes. In addition, candidates are required to complete 10 push-ups, 10 sit-ups, and 20 squats within the specified time limits to qualify. The test details are as follows:

Note: Candidates are advised to bring their sports shoes and shorts/track pants. Detailed procedures and expected techniques for push-ups, sit-ups, and squats are available on the CASB Web Portal at agnipathvayu.cdac.in.
(b) Sports Skill Trials: Only candidates who pass the PFT will be called for sports skill trials. These trials will be conducted for the specific sports applied for, at venues designated by AFSCB in the Delhi-NCR region.

IAF Agniveervayu Sports Medical Standards Test
Mandatory Medical Standards: To qualify as an Agniveervayu (Sports) male candidate, the following general medical standards must be met:
- Height: Minimum acceptable height is 152 cm.
- Weight: Weight should be proportionate to height and age, as per IAF standards.
- Chest: The chest should be well proportioned and developed, with a minimum circumference of 77 cm and at least 5 cm of expansion.
