Important Notes for Army Ordnance Corps Recruitment Examination
Note-I: The examination will consist of objective-type multiple-choice questions only. Questions will be set in both English and Hindi, except for the sections on General English and English Language & Comprehension.
Note-II: The examination will use Optical Mark Recognition (OMR) Sheets for answers. A sample OMR sheet can be found under the ‘Candidates Corner’ on the official recruitment portal: https://aocrecruitment.gov.in.
Note-III: There will be negative marking of 0.25 marks for every incorrect answer in the written test.

General Intelligence & Reasoning:
This section will include both verbal and non-verbal questions covering:
- Analogies and differences
- Space visualization
- Problem-solving and analysis
- Judgment and decision-making
- Visual memory and observation skills
- Relationships, concepts, and classification (verbal and figure-based)
- Arithmetical number series and computations
- Abstract ideas, symbols, and their relationships

General English:
Tests the candidate's understanding of the English language, focusing on:
- Grammar and sentence structure
- Vocabulary and correct usage
- Synonyms and antonyms

Numerical Aptitude:
Questions will cover mathematical problems related to:
- Number systems, whole numbers, decimals, and fractions
- Arithmetic operations (addition, subtraction, etc.)
- Percentages, ratios, averages, and proportions
- Interest, profit & loss, discount calculations
- Time, distance, work, mensuration, and graphs

Designed to assess the candidate’s knowledge of:
- Current events and general awareness of the environment
- India's history, culture, geography, and economic scene
- Sports, Indian Constitution, and scientific research
- Neighboring countries and general policy topics

Posting Preferences:
- Candidates can indicate their preferred regions for posting.
- However, postings will be determined based on organizational requirements, and candidates may be assigned to any region, including hard-to-reach or high-altitude areas.
- All selected candidates will have a two-year probation period, subject to satisfactory performance.

Candidates must be in sound mental and physical health, free from any conditions that could hinder their performance. Selected candidates will undergo a medical examination to confirm their fitness.
