Eligibility

• Forty percent of the Senior Resident/Tutor positions will be filled by members of the Bihar State Health Service Cadre, and 40% will be filled by doctors who have completed postgraduate degree courses (under the residency scheme) from state medical colleges. The remaining 20% of the positions will be filled by doctors who have obtained postgraduate degrees (residency scheme) from recognized institutions outside the state. The minimum educational qualification for the post of Senior Resident/Tutor will be a postgraduate degree in the relevant subject. 
• In case of a shortage of qualified candidates, the minimum educational qualification will be a diploma, for which they will also be awarded 10 marks equivalent to a postgraduate degree in the relevant subject. However, in the merit list, their rank will be lower than those candidates who hold a postgraduate degree.
• Candidates with equivalent postgraduate degrees in accordance with the teacher eligibility qualifications of the Medical Council of India will also be eligible for selection.
