Eligibility Criteria For Bihar NMMSS Exam 2024

• कक्षा VIII में पढ़ रहे वे छात्र-छात्राएं, जिन्होंने कक्षा VII की परीक्षा में 55% या उससे अधिक अंक प्राप्त किए हैं और शैक्षिक सत्र 2024-25 में मान्यता प्राप्त विद्यालय में विधिवत नामांकित हैं, वे NMMSS योजना के तहत आवेदन कर सकते हैं। अनुसूचित जाति, अनुसूचित जनजाति एवं दिव्यांग छात्रों के लिए उत्तीर्ण अंकों में 5% की छूट दी गई है।
• सत्र 2022-23 में कक्षा VII में 55% या उससे अधिक अंक प्राप्त कर चुके (SC/ST वर्ग के छात्रों को 5% की छूट) तथा कक्षा VIII में पढ़ाई कर रहे छात्र-छात्राएं, जिनके माता-पिता की कुल वार्षिक आय 3.5 लाख रुपये से अधिक नहीं है, वे शैक्षिक सत्र 2024-25 के लिए इस योजना में आवेदन कर सकते हैं।

• Students who are studying in Class VIII and have obtained 55% or more marks in the Class VII examination, and are duly enrolled in a recognized school for the academic session 2024-25, are eligible to apply under the NMMSS scheme. A 5% relaxation in passing marks is provided for students from Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST), and differently-abled categories.
• Students who obtained 55% or more marks in Class VII during the 2022-23 session (with a 5% relaxation for SC/ST students) and are currently studying in Class VIII, with parents’ total annual income not exceeding ₹3.5 lakh, are eligible to apply for this scheme for the academic session 2024-25.

National Means Cum Merit Scholarship Scheme In Details

• शिक्षा मंत्रालय, भारत सरकार द्वारा आर्थिक रूप से कमजोर मेधावी विद्यार्थियों के लिए "राष्ट्रीय आय-सह-मेधा छात्रवृत्ति योजना" (National Means-cum-Merit Scholarship Scheme) शुरू की गई है। इस योजना के अंतर्गत राज्य के सरकारी, सरकारीकृत, राज्य सरकार या भारत सरकार से अनुदानित विद्यालयों, मान्यता प्राप्त अनुदानित अल्पसंख्यक विद्यालयों, मदरसों एवं संस्कृत विद्यालयों में विधिवत अध्ययनरत छात्रों को कक्षा IX से XII तक की शिक्षा के लिए प्रति वर्ष ₹12,000 की छात्रवृत्ति प्रदान की जाती है।

• The Ministry of Education, Government of India, has launched the "National Means-cum-Merit Scholarship Scheme" to support academically talented students from economically weaker backgrounds. Under this scheme, students enrolled and regularly studying in government, government-aided, state or centrally-funded schools, recognized aided minority schools, madrasas, and Sanskrit schools in the state are awarded an annual scholarship of ₹12,000 by the Ministry of Education, Government of India, New Delhi, for their studies from Class IX to Class XII.

NMMSS Exam Syllabus and Test Pattern

Exam Syllabus:

There is no prescribed syllabus for the National Means-Cum-Merit Scholarship Scheme (NMMSS) exam. The purpose of this exam is to identify talented students. The questions will be based on the subjects/curriculum taught in Class VIII in state government schools.

The Mental Ability Test (MAT) will include verbal, non-verbal reasoning, and analytical questions.

The Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT) will cover questions from the following subjects:

• Science (Physics, Chemistry, Biology)
• Social Science (History, Civics, Geography)
• Mathematics

Each question will carry 1 mark. All questions will be objective-type with four options. The question paper will be available in both Hindi and English. In case of any discrepancy between the two languages for a specific question, the English version will be considered correct. Candidates must mark their answers on the OMR answer sheet.
