Eligibility
Post Name: Super Specialist Medical Officer (Second in Command) Total Posts: 05 Eligibility Criteria (as of 28/07/2024):
- Must have an M.B.B.S. degree or an equivalent qualification from a recognized university listed in the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956.
- Should be enrolled in any State Medical Register maintained under the Indian Medical Council Act.
- Completion of compulsory rotating internship is required.
- Must hold a Postgraduate Degree or Diploma in the relevant specialty as listed in Schedule I, Section 'A' or 'B' of the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956.
- Must possess either a Doctorate of Medicine (DM), Magister Chirurguie (M.Ch.), or an equivalent qualification along with three years of experience in the respective super-specialty after obtaining the first postgraduate degree. Senior residency will be considered as part of the experience.
- The applicant must have permanent registration with the Medical Council of India (MCI), National Medical Commission (NMC), or a State Medical Council before appointment.
Post Name: Super Specialist Medical Officer (Deputy Commandant) Total Posts: 176 Eligibility Criteria (as of 28/07/2024):
- A valid medical degree in allopathic medicine recognized under the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956, in the first or second schedule, or Part-II of the third schedule (excluding licentiate qualifications).
- For candidates with qualifications from Part-II of the third schedule, they must meet the conditions under Sub-Section (3) of Section (13) of the Act.
- Must have permanent registration with MCI, NMC, or a State Medical Council prior to joining CAPFs or AR.
- Completion of the compulsory rotating internship is required.
- Must possess a Postgraduate Degree or Diploma in the relevant specialty listed in Schedule-I, Section 'A' or 'B' of the Act or equivalent, with:
- 1.5 years of experience in the specialty after obtaining the PG Degree, OR
- 2.5 years of experience after obtaining the PG Diploma.
Post Name: Medical Officer (Assistant Commandant) Total Posts: 164 Eligibility Criteria (as of 28/07/2024):
- Must possess a recognized medical qualification in allopathic medicine included in the first, second, or Part-II of the third schedule (excluding licentiate qualifications) of the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956.
- Candidates with Part-II of third schedule qualifications must satisfy the criteria under Sub-Section (3) of Section (13) of the Act.
- Permanent registration with MCI, NMC, or a State Medical Council is required before joining CAPFs or AR.
- Completion of the compulsory rotating internship is mandatory.
- Candidates still completing their internship may apply and attend the interview, provided they finish the internship successfully before the appointment.

- Super Specialist Medical Officer (SSMO): ₹78,800 - ₹2,09,200 (Level-12, as per 7th CPC)
- Specialist Medical Officer (SMO): ₹67,700 - ₹2,08,700 (Level-11, as per 7th CPC)
- Head Constable: ₹56,100 - ₹1,77,500 (Level-10, as per 7th CPC)
