Informations : The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has announced the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) for December 2024. Candidates interested in applying for CTET Paper I (Primary Level) and Paper II (Junior Level) can submit their online applications between 17th September 2024 and 16th October 2024. Eligibility Criteria For CTET Primary Level (Class I to V)
- Senior Secondary (or equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (by any name).
- Senior Secondary (or equivalent) with at least 45% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education, as per NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure), Regulations, 2002.
- Senior Secondary (or equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of a 4-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed).
- Senior Secondary (or equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of a 2-year Diploma in Education (Special Education).

Eligibility Criteria For CTET Junior Level (Class VI to VIII)

Graduation and passed or currently appearing in the final year of a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (by any name).

At least 50% marks in either Graduation or Post-Graduation and passed or appearing in the final year of Bachelor in Education (B.Ed.).

Graduation with at least 45% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of B.Ed., as per the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure) Regulations.

Senior Secondary (or equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of a 4-year Bachelor in Elementary Education (B.El.Ed.).

Senior Secondary (or equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of a 4-year B.A/B.Sc.Ed or B.A.Ed/B.Sc.Ed program.

Graduation with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of B.Ed. (Special Education).

Any candidate with a B.Ed. degree recognized by the NCTE is eligible to appear in TET/CTET. As per TET guidelines (NCTE letter dated 11-02-2011), a candidate pursuing a teacher education course (recognized by NCTE or RCI) is also eligible for TET/CTET.

Post-Graduation with at least 55% marks or equivalent grade and passed or appearing in the final year of a three-year integrated B.Ed.-M.Ed. course.
