• ITI Certificate in any trade and one-year shipbuilding experience as a Chipper Grinder in MDL/Ship-building industry.

• Master Degree with Hindi and English at Degree level or Master Degree with English and Hindi as a subject at Degree level or Master Degree Hindi medium in any subject with English compulsory, and one-year translation experience. Computer knowledge with Hindi/English typing is compulsory.

• ITI Certificate in Draughtsman in Mechanical Stream.

• Class 10th SSC or equivalent with a Diploma/Certificate in Fire Fighting (minimum 6 months duration) and a valid Heavy Duty Vehicle Licence.

• ITI/NAC in Cutting & Tailoring, Cutting & Sewing, Dress Making, Sewing Technology, Tailor (General/Man/Women).

• Passed SSC or equivalent or Indian Army class – I exam or equivalent in Navy/Air Force with 15 years of Armed Forces service, experience in security duties, and valid commercial driving license preferred.

• ITI Certificate in any trade with one-year experience in MDL/Ship-building industry as a Utility Hand.

• Certificate of Competency (I class Master) from Maharashtra Maritime Board/Mercantile Marine Dept., minimum 3 years' experience of operating Tugs with 565 BHP and above, or ex-serviceman from Indian Navy with 15 years of experience and 1st class Master certificate. Knowledge of swimming is compulsory.

Selection Process & Exam Pattern

Selection Process for Mazagon Dock Mumbai Non-Executive Recruitment 2024

1.  Written Test: Candidates will be called for a "Written Test" based on the information provided in their online application form. A detailed scrutiny of documents for shortlisted candidates will occur during the Trade/Skill Test.
2.  Trade/Skill Test: Based on the performance in the Written Test and experience marks (where applicable), candidates will be called for the Trade/Skill Test. The ratio for calling candidates for the Trade/Skill Test will be:
   • 1:3 if vacancies are more than 100
   • 1:4 if vacancies are between 50 to 100
   • 1:5 if vacancies are less than 50
3. Final Merit List: The final merit list will be prepared based on the combined marks obtained in the Written Test and Experience Marks (where applicable). The Trade/Skill Test will be qualifying in nature only.
4. Tie-Breaking Criteria: In case of a tie in the final merit list (same total marks in Written Test/Experience Marks):
   •  Candidates with higher experience marks will be placed higher.
   •  If still tied, the candidate senior in age will be placed higher.
5. Alternative Selection: Depending on the number of applicants, the management may decide to skip the Written Test and select candidates based on Experience and Trade/Skill Test.
6. Waiting List: A waiting list may be maintained for eligible candidates. This list will be valid for one year from the date of approval and will be used if a selected candidate does not join, resigns, passes away, or is declared  medically unfit.
7. Exam Syllabus: The syllabus for the Online Exam is mentioned in Annexure-I of the advertisement.
8. Marking Pattern Table for Selection Process

•   Multiple Applications: Candidates applying for multiple posts within the same group (Group A or Group B) need to appear for the exam only once in their preferred Trade/Post. The marks obtained in that exam will be considered for all other applied posts within the same group.
