Selection Process & Exam Pattern
Selection Process for Mazagon Dock Mumbai Non-Executive Recruitment 2024
- Written Test: Candidates will be called for a "Written Test" based on the information provided in their online application form. A detailed scrutiny of documents for shortlisted candidates will occur during the Trade/Skill Test.
- Trade/Skill Test: Based on the performance in the Written Test and experience marks (where applicable), candidates will be called for the Trade/Skill Test. The ratio for calling candidates for the Trade/Skill Test will be:
- 1:3 if vacancies are more than 100
- 1:4 if vacancies are between 50 to 100
- 1:5 if vacancies are less than 50
- Final Merit List: The final merit list will be prepared based on the combined marks obtained in the Written Test and Experience Marks (where applicable). The Trade/Skill Test will be qualifying in nature only.
- Tie-Breaking Criteria: In case of a tie in the final merit list (same total marks in Written Test/Experience Marks):
- Candidates with higher experience marks will be placed higher.
- If still tied, the candidate senior in age will be placed higher.
- Alternative Selection: Depending on the number of applicants, the management may decide to skip the Written Test and select candidates based on Experience and Trade/Skill Test.
- Waiting List: A waiting list may be maintained for eligible candidates. This list will be valid for one year from the date of approval and will be used if a selected candidate does not join, resigns, passes away, or is declared medically unfit.
