OSSC Sub Inspector Eligibility Criteria 2024

Sub-Inspector (SI) of Traffic

  • Candidates must hold a Bachelor’s degree in Arts, Science, Commerce, Engineering, or Law from a recognized University or Institution.
  • Equivalent qualifications from universities established by Acts of Parliament or State Legislatures, deemed universities under Section 3 of the UGC Act, 1956, or approved foreign universities are also accepted.

Sub-Inspector (SI) of Excise

  • Applicants should have a Bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognized University or an equivalent qualification.
  • The degree must be obtained from a University incorporated by an Act of the Central or State Legislature, an institution established by Parliament, or a deemed university under Section 3 of the UGC Act, 1956. Foreign universities approved by the Central Government are also valid.
  • For candidates with approved military service, passing the Intermediate Examination from a recognized board is sufficient.
