Informations : The Board of Secondary Education (BSE), Odisha, has announced the Odisha Secondary School Teacher Eligibility Test (OSSTET) 2024 for recruiting Trained Graduate Teachers (Paper 1) and Physical Education Teachers (Paper 2) in government schools across the state. Interested candidates can submit their online applications via the official website, bseodisha.ac.in, from 19th November to 1st December 2024.

Trained Graduate Arts (Category-I)
  • Bachelor's degree in Arts/Commerce/Shastri (Sanskrit) with two school subjects as Honours/Elective/Pass/Optional/Compulsory with 50% marks (45% for SC/ST/PH/SEBC) from a recognized university.
  • B.Ed./3-year Integrated B.Ed.-M.Ed. from an NCTE-recognized institution.- Four-year Integrated B.A.B.Ed. with 50% marks (45% for SC/ST/PH/SEBC) in aggregate.
Trained Graduate Science (PCM/CBZ)
  • Bachelor's degree in Science/B.Tech/B.E. with two school subjects as Honours/Elective/Pass/Optional with 50% marks (45% for SC/ST/PH/SEBC) from a recognized university.
  • B.Ed./3-year Integrated B.Ed.-M.Ed. from an NCTE-recognized institution.- Four-year Integrated B.Sc.B.Ed. with 50% marks (45% for SC/ST/PH/SEBC) in aggregate.
Hindi Teacher (Category-I)
  • Bachelor's degree with Hindi as Honours/Elective/Optional/Pass subject with 50% marks (45% for SC/ST/PH/SEBC) from a recognized university.
  • One of the following:- Hindi Sikshyan Parangat from Kendriya Hindi Sansthan, Agra.- B.H.Ed. from an NCTE-recognized institution.- B.Ed. in Hindi from Dakhin Bharat Hindi Prachar Sabha, Madras.
Classical Teacher (Sanskrit)
  • Bachelor's degree with Sanskrit as Honours/Elective/Optional/Pass subject with 50% marks (45% for SC/ST/PH/SEBC) from a recognized university.
  • Sikshya Shastri (Sanskrit) from an NCTE-recognized institution.- B.Ed. from an NCTE-recognized institution.
Classical Teacher (Urdu)
  • Alim with 50% marks (45% for PH candidates) OR B.A. (Persian) with 50% marks (45% for PH candidates).
  • B.Ed./Urdu B.Ed. from an NCTE-recognized institution.
Classical Teacher (Telugu)
  • Bachelor's degree in Arts with Telugu as a subject and 50% marks (45% for SC/ST/PH/SEBC) from a recognized university.
  • Telugu B.Ed. from an NCTE-recognized institution.
Physical Education Teacher (Category-II)
  • +2 or equivalent from a recognized institution.
  • C.P.Ed./D.P.Ed./B.P.Ed./M.P.Ed. from a recognized board/university.
