SSC Constable GD 2024 Exam Pattern & Syllabus
The SSC Constable GD 2023 examination comprises four stages: Computer-Based Examination (CBE), Physical Efficiency Test (PET), Physical Standard Test (PST), and a Detailed Medical Examination (DME). Below is the detailed exam pattern and syllabus:

- Total Questions: 80
- Total Marks: 160
- Marking Scheme: Each question carries 2 marks. A negative marking of 0.50 marks will be applied for each wrong answer.
- Medium: The examination will be conducted in English and Hindi only.
- Question Type: Objective Multiple Choice
Note:
- No re-evaluation or re-checking of the scores is allowed.
- The scores will be normalized as per the formula provided by SSC, which will be used for determining final merit and cut-off marks.
- Tentative Answer Keys will be made available on the SSC website after the examination. Candidates can submit objections within the stipulated time by paying Rs 100/- per question.
2. Syllabus
- General Intelligence & Reasoning:
- Topics: Analogies, similarities and differences, spatial visualization, spatial orientation, visual memory, discrimination, observation, relationship concepts, arithmetical reasoning, figural classification, non-verbal series, coding and decoding, etc.
- General Knowledge & General Awareness:
- Topics: Current events, Indian history, culture, geography, economic scene, general polity, Indian Constitution, scientific research, sports, and neighboring countries of India.
- Elementary Mathematics:
- Topics: Number systems, computation of whole numbers, decimals and fractions, percentages, ratio and proportion, averages, interest, profit and loss, discount, mensuration, time and distance, time and work, etc.
- English/Hindi:
- Topics: Basic comprehension, grammar, vocabulary, sentence structure, and usage.

Note:
- Ex-servicemen are exempted from PET but must qualify in PST and DME.
- Pregnant women (12 weeks or more) will be temporarily unfit and re-examined after confinement.
