Informations : The State Health Society Bihar (SHSB) is recruiting for 4500 Community Health Officer (CHO) positions on a contractual basis at Health & Wellness Centres under the National Health Mission (NHM). Eligibility

  • B.Sc. (Nursing) with completion of a six-month Certificate in Community Health (CCH) from an institute or university recognized by the Indian Nursing Council/State Nursing Council from the academic year 2020 onward.  OR
  • Post Basic B.Sc. (Nursing) with completion of a six-month Certificate in Community Health (CCH) from an institute or university recognized by the Indian Nursing Council/State Nursing Council from the academic year 2020 onward. OR
  • B.Sc. (Nursing), Post Basic B.Sc. (Nursing), or General Nursing and Midwifery (GNM) candidates who completed the Certificate Course in Community Health (CCH) through IGNOU or other State Public Health/Medical Universities, per Ministry of Health & Family Welfare guidelines (eligibility specified for CHOs by the Government of India).

Note: The academic year specified refers to students who completed their 4th-year B.Sc. Nursing or 2nd-year Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing in 2019-2020 or later and passed successfully.

Pay Scale

  • Pay Scale : Community Health Officer (CHO) is offered a monthly remuneration of Rs. 40,000. This includes a fixed payment of Rs. 32,000, with an additional Rs. 8,000 provided as a Performance-Linked Payment, determined based on specific health performance indicators.
