Eligibility Qualification Must possess a B.L. degree from any University or Institution recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC). Must be a member of the Bar with a minimum of 5 years of active practice in Criminal Courts. Explanation: "Active practice in Criminal Courts" includes time served as a temporary Assistant Public Prosecutor, Grade-II. Must have adequate knowledge of Tamil. Explanation: Adequate knowledge of Tamil is deemed if the candidate has passed the S.S.L.C. Public Examination or an equivalent exam with Tamil as one of the languages in the High School course (Tamil Medium), or has passed the Second Class Language Test in Tamil conducted by the Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission.
